Cedar Montessori School is a one-of-a-kind Montessori program located just off Barbur and Terwilliger in Southwest Portland. With a maximum enrollment of sixteen children in each of our programs CMS offers low teach child ratios. CMS is run by three experienced teachers, all holding Association Montessori Internationale* diplomas as well as postgraduate degrees.
Our teachers work in partnership with our families to foster a community devoted to the guiding principles of an authentic Montessori education. The staff's distinctive cooperative spirit and the school's small size allow the teachers to ignite a child's potential while guiding each child's evolving developmental needs.
By housing both an Infant/ Toddler and a Primary program, CMS offers families the rare opportunity to experience six years of educational continuity in a nuturing community.
