Our Toddler Montessori Program offers a unique learning environment for children twelve months to three years of age. The toddler classroom has been designed to meet the physical needs of these young children. The bathrooms has been modified to allow independence in toileting and hand washing. The furnishings and materials are size and age appropriate as well as being aesthetically pleasing. The activities follow a logical sequence of progression and are presented to the child at his/ her developmental level. The Toddler Montessori classroom is simpler and slower paced than the Primary Montessoriclassroom.

The Montessori Toddler Curriculum is composed of five main areas: Language Development, Hand-Eye Coordination, Gross Motor Coordination, and Practical Life activities, and Art/Music.

In the first three years of life, a child goes through the process of self-creation. The toddler classroom supports this process of self-creation by providing an environment that allows for the functional independence of each child. Through practical real life activities, children develop the ability to care for their environment and for themselves as individuals. Major aspects of self-care are dressing and undressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.

Through the experience of attending ourToddler Montessori Program, your child will have the opportunity to develop the self confidence, independence, coordination, and a level of concentration required for a graceful transition into the more abstract work of the Primary Montessori classroom.
